Format line breaks for Asian and Latin text

Some languages use different line spacing. With PowerPoint, you can change the line spacing for Asian and Latin languages. When you change this setting, it applies to the entire presentation.

Important

To complete this procedure, you must first turn on Chinese or Japanese language features. For more information, see Turn on Chinese language features or Turn on Japanese language features.

  1. Select a placeholder in your presentation.

  2. On the Format menu, click Paragraph, and then click the Asian Typography tab.

  3. Under Line Break, make the changes that you want.
